In a recent post, 'this_hobby_of_hours' introduced the Wempe Signature Collection x Girard-Perregaux Laureato Chronograph 42mm, a limited edition of 100 pieces. This collaboration raises questions about the nature of limited editions and design innovation within established collections. Is this titanium or steel? This all comes together nicely on the copper dial.

Pity it will only be 100 pieces. It is more appealing than the standard collection ones.

1. Looks a little tacky to me in some of the pics. Distinctive for sure. If need to see it in the flesh. 2. It’s essentially another dial color change. Lazy way to make yet another LE. The design Dept seems to be treading water. The onyx dial infinity is β€œworthy” to be a LE.. No clous-de Paris. If they used the onyx dial for example in the chrono, then it would be more interesting to me.
