Friends,
since a few years, the Laureato has taken centrepiece of the GP collection. Not everyone I guess finds that a good move, but it is what it is, so no surprise that this year again, most novelty hype was around the Laureato.
This year, GP released a complete new interpretation of the Laureato, labelled the „Absolute“.
Let’s share 3 live shots of the three versions, the Absolute (time-only), the Chronograph and the WW.TC.

All sport a larger titanium case with black DLC coating, a rubber strap with Titanium end attachment, blue stitching and big letter brand name on the strap.
The dials have a deep blue, sunburst effect paint, but not like a traditional sunburst, more modern. The dial also has a sandwich, double-layer design such that the indexes are cut out from the top layer.
Anyways, I will come back with a more detailed review, so for now enjoy the live shots. These watches are very difficult to capture well, but I tried my best under less than ideal conditions.
I’m not yet sure where GP is going with these new models, I will still need a bit of time to reflect on them to form an opinion.
Best,
CC
Did you happen to see the new carbon glass case?
certainly the blacked out, flattened sunburst, modernity of them. However, I wonder about G-P's constant push for the Laureato. Are they trying to create a Royal Oak line for themselves; where there is just a plethora of variations of the same model? How realistic is that for G-P?
