Crown comfort's showcase of the original 1975 Girard-Perregaux Laureato 4266 TA highlights a pivotal moment in watchmaking history. This post delves into the design and technological significance of the first Laureato, emphasizing its quartz movement and distinctive aesthetic. The discussion explores how this early model reflects the era's cutting-edge innovation and its enduring appeal to collectors.

Today, let's go back to THE original Laureato.

The very first from 1975 in steel with blue Clous-de-Paris dial.

35mm diameter but great presence on the wrist.

Very thin but Quartz movement, it was cutting edge at that time!

I particularly like the Bracelet, it is slim, but solid and very comfortable. It just looks classy.

Best,

CC

Both in regards of the Laureato and for the Quartz movements! The standard GP set with these Quartz movements is still in use by many brands today! Best Blomman

G-P played important role in first days of quartz. If not mistaken "their frequency" became officially accepted in quartz watches. Very cool time capsule with excellent dial. Cheers D

If only it had a mechanical movement to match its looks.
