For some time, I have wanted to share a few thoughts on TracieC's favorite watch, her white gold Lady Chronograph.  We have had this watch in our collection for about 10 years.  Tracie adores it, and wears it at least a few times every week.

Such a wonderfully balanced dial.  The case diameter is listed at 32mm, and GP has really nailed the proportions of the subdials and Roman Numerals.

I very much enjoy watch dials with 2 subdials at 3 and 9.  This one features the running seconds counter at 9 and the 30 minute chronograph counter at 3, both in beautiful mother-of-pearl.

Once again, my favorite element of any watch is the case design.  This one is extremely unique.  GP takes a primarily round head and adds long lugs that set atop the wrist.  Very feminine and sensual!

The lugs make for a wonderfully interesting appearance, and on the wrist, they extend nicely along the sides of the strap.

The single row diamond set bezel is very tasteful.  I love diamonds on a ladies watch.  This Lady Chronograph adds 8 additional round diamond hour markers on the dial.

Beautiful blued hands.  And they are well shaped and sized.

Luminous material is added to the 12 and 6 in addition to the hours and minutes hand.  Really pops when charged.

Another subtle detail to catch, the Roman Numerals are curved to nicely fit the dial.

A true haute horology brand, Girard-Perregaux showcases traditional finishes and guilloches on the movement and gold rotor.  And it features a column-wheel control of the chronograph functions to boot!  Well done, GP.

This one is easy to accessorize with, and that is very important to most women.

We are overdue to send it in for a routine service and a few new straps.  Every time I try, Tracie refuses to relinquish it.  She really treasures this watch.

In my personal opinion, this GP is as perfect as possible.  Every detail is "just right".  There is nothing I would change about it.  In fact, the only watch I own that I would put in the same category is my AP 15202.  High praise, indeed!

The Ladies watches of GP are all fantastic. The small chronograph I understand is also the smallest column wheel automatic chronograph movement. CC

Great report! Nothing beats to read about a ten year old watch that still is number one! :) Agree about the proportions, they are perfect! From the diameter compared with the sub-dials, thickness, case back opening.... Love it! :) Wish we could see this proportions of case back openings on the current 1966. Please send Tracie my best! Thanks for the nice post Michael! Tracie has great taste and I am glad she appreciates watches to this extent (that she can\'t bear to part with this beauty for servicing) Everything about this watch is great for a lady. The size and design of the case and dial, the movement, the lugs. Nicely made by GP! Cheers Robin
