Dinko Zhekov's recent acquisition of a Girard Perregaux Laureato in 38mm sparks a vital discussion for collectors navigating contemporary sizing trends. His initial apprehension about the 38mm case, particularly without a prior fitting, resonates with many enthusiasts accustomed to larger watches. This article explores how the community's shared experiences and insights validate the enduring appeal and wearability of traditionally sized timepieces, even for those with average wrist dimensions.

Hello everyone, I’ve just received my fist GP ! As I did not have the opportunity to try the watch I before I bought it, I was very nervous that 38mm would be too small, but it turned out to be great ! This Laureato just looks spectacular !

I've been increasingly leaning my collection towards what some would consider smaller sizes (<40mm). I find that my sweet spot is 37-40mm.

Fits you perfectly. For my 6.5 inch wrist , that’s the way I’d go too!
