Friends,

this year, GP slightly updated the amazing Constant Escapement. Now all versions are 46mm and almost wearable for a smallish wrist.

Slight updates had been made on the dials and for the all black version.

So the question is, which one do you prefer?

The all black?

Or the White Gold now with grey dial?

For me, I very much prefer the white gold version (damn that makes this dream even less reachable) as it combines the sophistication of white gold precious metal with the technical modernity, a contrast I like.

And even the white gold is of course much much heavier, for some reason, it sits better on my wrist. I did notice some very minor differences on the case construction and wonder if that is the reason.

So which one would you pick?

CC

I would go for the white gold version mainly because it offers a better dial contrast compared to the all black.

The "Triple bridges" are better enhanced for me. Same for the hour sub dial. Thanks for the shots of this rare and unusual timepieces dear CC. Best wishes Alkiro

May be a GP Constant Escapement in palladium would have been really interesting. Less heavy than white gold and something that GP already used with the 1966 Triple Calendar for instance

I would like to see more Palladium cases today when you know that its price is almost identical to the one of the platinum and it's not considered as a precious metal 😉 Best wishes Alkiro

Hmm, Palladium would be an interesting option

so far, GP had used Pd only in Limited Editions. On the other hand, what speaks against Steel? I think it could be a good edition to Titanium and White Gold and it could lower the cost a bit.

With such a timepiece, I think you need a very special material. In my opinion, steel is too "common" even if I'm with you about the price 😉

Best wishes Alkiro
