Crown Comfort offers a hands-on review of the Girard-Perregaux Classic Bridges 45mm, Reference 86000, following its debut at SIHH 2018. This article provides fresh wristshots and detailed observations, highlighting the watch's haute horlogerie finishing and its distinct aesthetic compared to the Neo-Bridges. Crown Comfort emphasizes the impressive polished bridges and open dial, positioning it as a strong contender in the classic dress watch category.

Friends,

after SIHH 2018 we had a detailed look and reviews on the Novelties, among them the new Classic Bridges.

You can refer back to the review here:

I now had the opportunity to spend some (limited) time with the 45mm, Ref 86000 on my wrist and I could take some fresh shots.

A watch that is surprising in all aspects. It comes across like a Haute Horlogerie three-bridge-tourbillon and has the same polishing and finishing of the bridges but just no Tourbillon.

The polished bridges are the most fascinating on this watch for sure.

There is a lot of pink gold and the open dial provides great sophistication.

Unlike the Neo-Bridges with its Titanium case, the Classic Bridges aims more for the classic dress watch look.

A very impressive watch and a winner in my book.

Here are some wristshots that speak for themselves.

Best,

CC

The back side is less spectacular, though. But what a watch! Thanks for the presentation, my friend. Best, Nicolas

piece of workmanship by GP. If only they had produced it in a more reasonable 40mm

two versions available 45 and 40mm But trust me, you really want the 45mm, it's a better fit for this kind of watch.

Here I think the 40mm is good for the wrist while the 45mm is better for the eye's and the type of movement... Only solution to get both?! Best Blomman

.. the 45mm. (Think of Panerai sizes..) and it must be more space to watch with pleasure the screenplay ! Great pics as well; maybe something to think about for the (mid-term) future ?.. Hmmhh.. Best, hs
