Crown comfort introduces Girard-Perregaux's 2018 SIHH novelty: the Classic Bridges in 45mm (Ref: 86000) and 40mm (Ref: 86005). This release marks a more traditional interpretation of the Bridges Collection, moving from the modern Neo Bridges to classic pink gold and arrowhead bridges, making the iconic design accessible to a broader audience.

Another novelty we see this year is the continuation of the Bridges Collection without Tourbillon. Last year we saw the modern interpretation, the Neo Bridges, which was and still is one of the top highlights of 2017.

And this year, GP follows up with a more classic interpretation of the same design. Instead of Titanium case and arched bridges, we now have classic pink gold and traditional arrowhead bridges.

The inner workings of the movement appear to be the same with the same micro-rotor visible at the front, but a bit less present.

A bit less avant-garde but now GP brings the craftsmanship of the polished bridges to a non-Tourbillon watch.  I think this is a very smart move as it allows to reach more customers with this iconic design.

I also appreciate the option for a smaller case with 40mm. We will look forward to see them side-by-side with some live shots so we can get a better picture. So stay tuned for more on this exciting new release.

More great news! :)

I am very curious to see the 40mm. If ration diameter/thickness is good, I will be in BIG trouble! Best Blomman

The trouble is just getting bigger and bigger

I think the original Neo-Bridges is still a strong contender as well as it is a very different watch.

I saw it this morning and I have to confess that Iโ€™m mixed. Why? Because I have a strange feeling here. This new GP makes me think about a not so good combination between past/history (three golden bridges) and modernity (other elements)

I definitely prefer the Neo-Bridges which is uncompromising for me. Everything is modern and nice. Best wishes Alkiro

I see your point, Alkiro...

Not sure yet. Need to see this one in real to judge. Best Blomman
