Yesterday, I spent the full day running in the SIHH corridors between two appointments.

Here is a short selection of the watches I could handle.

It was the year of the skeletonized watches for Vacheron even if they took the opportunity to slightly redesign the Malte:

My fav Vacheron of the Salon is this version of the Tourbillon 14 days:

Of course, I couldn't miss the opportunity to wear, handle and hear the Minute Repeater:

Montblanc did a great work this year with of course the new Heritage line whose flagship watch is the chronograph powered by a Minerva movement:

This titanium sports watch surprised me a lot, both in terms of design and of horological contents:

The already famous PC watch... famous due to its very affordable price tag:

I was seduced by this Homage to Nicolas Rieussec:

One of the stars of the Salon was the stunning 900P by Piaget. Elegant, contemporary... Piaget has created a beautiful Altiplano.

Piaget remains the best manufacture when it comes to gems set movements:

I traveled in my head thanks to this watch:

Quiet year for AP? Maybe but some very clever moves like the subtle changes in the RO Offshore 42 line:

White was the key colour!

I was quite afraid about the outcome but frankly speaking, these watches have much more charm than expected.

Especially the Tourbillon Concept GMT:

My heart couldn't resist to put the Tourbillon Chronogragh ROO on the wrist. What an incredible watch! The contrast between the weight of the case and of the strap is very surprising.

That's all for yesterday! But of course, I will come back with more details and pics!

Best regards.

Fx

Piaget

I must say, I love the Piaget Altiplano Scrimshaw with the engraved map inked onto the Prehistoric Mammoth tusk dial. Wowza ! But the VC Minute Repeater is sublime. Dean

Hmmm

Or perhaps, "Prehistoric Journey by. Piaget" From what I have read, a lot of work goes into the Scrimshaw dials. This is the type of report you revel in.
