Samwan shares his experience with the F.P. Journe Titanium Centigraphe, a limited edition created for the Hong Kong boutique's 10th anniversary. He discusses the challenges of styling the multi-colored dial and seeks community advice on its wearability and whether it leans more towards a dress or sporty watch.

The F.P. Journe Centigraphe Souverain represents the brand s approach to chronograph complications within the Souverain collection. This reference features the specialized caliber 1506 movement and carries the distinctive Centigraphe designation, positioning it as F.P. Journe s chronograph offering in their manual-winding lineup.
The 40mm case is crafted from 18k rose gold and fitted with a sapphire crystal. The silver dial provides the backdrop for the chronograph functions. The manual-winding caliber 1506 movement delivers an 80-hour power reserve. Water resistance is rated to 30 meters, and the watch is completed with a leather strap. The fixed bezel maintains clean proportions around the case perimeter.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking F.P. Journe s interpretation of chronograph mechanics in precious metal construction. Production began in 2007, establishing this as part of the contemporary F.P. Journe catalog. The Centigraphe attracts those interested in independent watchmaking combined with traditional manual-winding chronograph complications, offering substantial power reserve within the 40mm rose gold case format.
For me I like the different materials in the case but I think the OEM strap choice it a somewhat odd colour for day to day wear and I can how that can make 'matching' the watch hard. I've seen some people with more neutral colour choices for the strap and that seems to work better. It's a watch that derserves to be worn so you need to solve this problem!
The perfect design to pull off these colors. VERY well executed piece!
Sam, I have to start by saying these are probably the best photos I've yet seen of the Centigraphe. Great job! I too have this piece. I had the boutique supply me with a grey as well as a chocolate brown strap. I immediately swapped out the Burgundy for the grey and in my opinion it works so much better - whether with suit or black shirt/jumper (it's cold today in HK!). I fully understand Mr Journe wanting to keep all the special anniversary editions with the Burgundy strap but it completely cha

So radical and different! Yet so tastefully elegant.
Yup, still holds true. There are two pieces of lint on the first photo but regardless, the photos are so much more expressive than Journe's website. The maison's website has to have photos that are technically accurate and are completely "flat" photos, which are very difficult to achieve. Nevertheless, they're definitely gorgeous photos. Whomever the photographer is should be proud. And that watch is gorgeous!
