ChristianDK's 'TGIF It’s F.P. Friday with “ole bluey”' post celebrates the iconic F.P. Journe Chronomètre Bleu, inviting fellow collectors to share their own Journe timepieces. This article delves into the community's appreciation for this particular reference, highlighting its unique appeal and the craftsmanship behind its 'non-precious' materials. ChristianDK's original post serves as a vibrant starting point for a discussion on one of F.P. Journe's most beloved creations.

The F.P. Journe Chronomètre Souverain represents the foundational timepiece within the brand's Souveraine collection. This reference demonstrates the manufacture's approach to precision timekeeping through manual winding mechanics, positioned as a core offering in F.P. Journe's lineup.
The 40mm case is executed in 18k rose gold with a fixed bezel configuration. A sapphire crystal protects the silver dial, while the manual-winding caliber 1304 movement provides an 80-hour power reserve. The timepiece features 30-meter water resistance and is paired with a leather strap. Production commenced in 2000.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking F.P. Journe's mechanical execution in a fundamental three-hand configuration. The substantial power reserve and manual winding caliber position this model for enthusiasts who appreciate traditional watchmaking approaches within the Souveraine series framework.
If you look in the background of my picture I can see at least two that are haunting me as well. Collecting is full of missed boats but we must count our blessings 🤗 HAGWE Patrick
And have a great weekend!
I forgot how nice the boxes are as mine have been sitting in storage for years. A shame really.
The Blues Brothers (Dan Akroyd and John Belushi) Or the Blue Man Group!
Sorry I missed the post, I guess I was too busy updating my travel posts. Alas, no Journe last Friday. Something new instead which I’d just traveling to Switzerland to pick up. I’m slowly getting around to posting it, tomorrow hopefully.
Yes some of those pieces are haunting me.😅
