ChristianDK's F.P. Journe Friday tradition highlights how a cherished timepiece can offer a sense of continuity and pleasure, even amidst the starkness of winter. This post exemplifies the community's shared appreciation for horological rituals, demonstrating how a watch can transcend its function to become a symbol of anticipation and personal connection. ChristianDK's choice of a 'summer watch' during colder months provides a unique perspective on how collectors interact with their pieces across seasons.

I quite enjoy our tradition as it is one of those little rituals of pleasure that make a mark on the week.

Here it is ice cold and dark. So when you look out the window you wonder if it really is time to get out of bed? At least I have this nice piece, which is mostly my summer watch to remind me, that spring will come.

Have a great Friday everyone.

Let’s see what you have on your wrist today.

Best,
Christian

I'm feeling your pain on the cold. Sub-zero temps at the lake house yesterday. -11F to be exact. Beautiful, in a brutal sort of way. M4

I have not yet put a watch on my wrist today; soon. But for now, a throwback shot. Tokyo 2017, waiting for a train.
