Here you can really see the design similarity on these dive watches.

However the swiss one in this case is the re edition of the Searambler circa 1968 just released in 2018.

The Seiko is the original and rare 6105-8009 with the resist - resist feature meanng it has resit on the dial and water resist on the case back. Also feature the thin case like the 1965 62mas.

Enjoy

Interesting comparison Bill

I love them both, though I feel a little biased towards the Seiko. Don’t know why Best. René

What i like is these brands were there early on.

The Seiko was rated to 150 meters and tye Roles was 200 meters and the Doxa was rated at 300 meters but was less expensive than the Rolex at $165 back in 1968. I need to see what tye Seiko dold for in 1968.

That's exactly what Dad remembers paying . . .

. . . for his Seiko Sea Lion in January '66. Pops wore it practically every day for decades before handing it down to yours truly; my previous watchmaker diagnosed excessive wear in the winding system, but never got around to fixing it. It's due for a visit to my current watchmaker. Art
