RJW introduces a truly unique timepiece from independent Dutch watchmaker Fred Dingemans, showcasing his DMH Jump Hour Fusion. This post highlights the artisanal craftsmanship of a one-man operation, where tools are handmade and production is limited to just two watches per month, offering a rare glimpse into a highly customizable and distinctive horological creation.

Dingemans Mechanische Horloges is the brand of Independent watchmaker Fred Dingemans, based in the Netherlands.

Fred is a one man show.  His atelier is his backyard toolshed. My understanding is that he uses vintage machines and has even crafted some of his own tools.

Fred can make 2 watches per month.  I believe his current waiting list is now over 2 years long.

My watch is the jump hour fusion.  I chose a frosted titanium dial with a red arrow seconds hand.

It has an edgy raw industrial feel to it.

In the picture below the time is 6:13:55 on the 15th

It even comes with a hand made personalised manual

As I said, you won't see one of these every day.

Thanks for looking.

Regards,
Richard.

I like the jump hour complication a lot. I'm forever looking at vintage jump hours! This is a neat find and I do like the industrial look of the watch a lot! Enjoy your new toy! Cheers, Daos

i really like that Richard. it appeals to my sense of the unusual and the liking of microbrands. 2 a month and a 2 year wait. not much chance of jumping on a bargain then my only slight -ve point would be that it has no clear pointer at which to read the time, but then i suppose that is half the fun. enjoy it and lets see a full review in a few months please. Graham

" In the picture below the time is 6:13:55 on the 15th" but now I do, well almost ... A rough watch with a definite character! We enjoy these leaping, jumping things - do we not? Cheers, amerix This message has been edited by amerix on 2012-04-28 10:18:02

Congrats for this interesting watch and for the nice presentation. THE ONS movement is totally coherent in this context. Fx

some crawling, creeping and for some creepy creatures that can respond it to a food-supply or a threat in the flash of a second, after having played the waiting game for so long. including myself - as have many of the others here? But I do like the watch on this thread, more for what it trying to be than for what it actually is - now! amerix . This message has been edited by amerix on 2012-04-28 11:38:53
