Cazalea reflects on a decade as a Purist, sharing a curated selection of his most impactful posts and insights. His journey highlights the evolution of a collector, from early Grand Seiko explorations to extensive travel reports and diverse horological discussions. This compilation serves as a valuable resource, showcasing the depth and breadth of his contributions to the WatchProSite community.

It's apparently true, according to the counter on my avatar. I am as astonished as the lovely gal looking at us. Sorry, but I have learned pictures of pretty girls get more views than pictures of my wrist...

Mrs Cazalea asked me what I have to show for all that time and energy (beside the 100 watches worth a great deal of our net worth).
In an effort to defend myself, I started to create this reference file with a bunch of my favorite posts. Just doing this soaked up a bit more time.

Thanks for making this a fun place to spend that time! And a place where I can express my inner author. And all this in about 6000 posts, not 150,000 like Nicolas!

Cheers,

Cazalea

What was I doing back then? I can't remember, of course, but my photo library says I was taking apart a Grand Seiko on my desk at work ... I must have decided to make my first post a GS-innards story.

In looking at the old photos of that time I see that even then I was collecting icons, baking bread, spotting cars, fixing watches --- so I guess the old passions have stuck with me as well as the watches. I don't think I am ready for too many new passions: Mike
