Cazalea presents an impressive index of his '50 Walks With My Seikos' series, offering a comprehensive overview of the diverse Seiko watches featured in his popular daily posts. This compilation not only showcases his extensive collection but also serves as a testament to the community's engagement and the joy of sharing horological passions. The post invites readers to revisit past walks and appreciate the variety within the Seiko universe.

I'm taking a break from walking this morning; Christmas holidays and all demanding some attention. As a compensation this morning, below you will find a spreadsheet with all the walks to date and the watches worn on each of them. Thanks for reading and your enthusiastic support.

I have enough Seikos to get me through the end of the year, and a couple incoming for Christmas too. However, I am sorry to report that only my friend John has given me one of his Seikos to wear. I had imagined dozens coming in the mail eager to be featured on a walk ... or was that just a dream?

Keep wearing those Seikos and sharing them with us!

About the Seiko Seiko Vintage Ref. 1520

The Seiko 1520 is a vintage mechanical timepiece, part of Seiko's mid-20th century offerings. It represents a period when Seiko was establishing its reputation for reliable and well-engineered movements, often focusing on practical designs for daily wear. These models typically featured robust construction and straightforward timekeeping functions, appealing to a broad market.

This particular reference houses a mechanical movement, emphasizing traditional watchmaking principles over the emerging quartz technology of later decades. The case design is often characterized by its simplicity and clean lines, reflecting the aesthetic trends of its era. While not a high-complication piece, its internal mechanics are designed for consistent performance.

For collectors, the Seiko 1520 holds relevance as an example of Seiko's foundational mechanical watch production. Its appeal lies in its vintage charm, the tactile experience of a hand-wound or automatic movement, and its historical position within the brand's extensive catalog. Well-preserved examples are sought after for their originality and mechanical integrity.

That is an impressive collection Mike, iwould call it a mad mans collection 😁. I do think 14 and 32 is the same watch. As for my contribution, here it is. December 5, 2020, walking the silly dog. SBDX014 aka the Emperor Tuna with 8L35 mechanical movement. Greetings, Silly Bim

I noticed that a week ago and haven’t figured out how to resolve it. I shouldn’t have changed the strap and forgotten having done so. Perhaps a make-up day? And corrections noted with credit to you! Mike

Is it correct that you didn’t wear the same watch for any of this long list of walks? Anyway. I think I will lend some inspiration from you. I neee to get out there and move my body.
