I actually had the privilege of buying one from Cartier Paris in 1996. Unfortunately, due to a failed marriage, I had to sell it a few years later. The watch had so much character and remains the only platinum watch I have ever owned. Small and hyper thin with its Frederic Piguet movement.
I am in your horological camp as well, this model is my favourite Cartier and the only one I could picture ever buying. It must be a real pleasure to wear
