Bernard Cheong shares a captivating photo essay from Paris, showcasing the Carl F. Bucherer Patravi, particularly the massive 46.6mm model, on the wrist of Irin Gan. This post offers a vibrant, lifestyle-oriented perspective on how a large, complicated watch can still exude elegance and presence, even on smaller wrists. Cheong's narrative intertwines the allure of Parisian streets with the impressive aesthetics and technical features of the Patravi.
Hmmm...ever wondered if a Carl Bucherer will ever appeal to you?
It would if things fell into place, like having a drink in a small lane in Paris, in June with a very good looking woman, Irin Gan, who looks after Carl Bucherer (in Singapore) ..
LV of course!

Ahhh...

Lunch!!!

Irin Gan with wine, and a Patravi of steel.
This massive 46.6mm case actually looks good on her wrist..and she has small wrists!
The watch...is impressive, and is a tour de force of revamping Carl Bucherer's image.
Look at her eyes!

Some balance is always needed when one looks at just TOO many watches!!!
The watch I have just seen is still beautiful!

Remember Omega's Co Axial?
here too...a window!

The watch really has an incredible presence..it can be felt from afar.

The streets of Paris..
A goos cafe, a great place to take a picture of a gold Patravi..

But first..wine!

People...

A great table with a chest, that I just had to buy..and ship it to Sinapore!!!
There goes one watch!

Speaking of huge marine chronometers..the Patravi is a mighty watch, and is so massive..with THREE timezones to boot.

But nevertheless beautiful in a primal way.

The window to a little heart!

So...Carl Bucherer is credible.
I always believe in looking at a watch, without looking at the brand..hell..where would any of the AHCI be today?
Speaking of which...look at what I saw in my relook at MBF 2!!!!
In the AHCI forum. The Carl F Bucherer, and the MBF 2..all in one day.
Sigh.
And a good looking, sexy woman...and Paris!
I can read your enthusiasm for the Carl Bucherer Patravi in ur writing but no matter how convincing you can be, I find the Patrvai too "busy" to my eyes. The dial has too much going on IMO - too many lines, curves, and angles - and the case is massive but doesn't really have anything unique which stands out from the all ready crowded large watch segment. I'm sure it's a great watch but aesthically in my eyes, the Patravi just looks like a conglomeration of random design. I hope I don't get blast
Thanks Bernard for the pics ! Fr.Xavier
been meaning to stop by local bucherer dealer to try on a piece or two
