This will be a great experience. I have seen these watches twice at the Swiss National Museum and they represent the greatest collection of single brand watches I have ever seen. We all think we know of Abraham-Louis Breguet's inventions and innovations---tourbillon, Breguet overcoil, minute repeater gongs, parachute anti-shock, guilloche dials---but there is so much more. Breguet has produced a gorgeous hard bound book for the exhibit authored by Breguet historian, Emmanuel Breguet, and the Museum curator, Martin Chapman. Not only does it give fascinating insights into the life of Abraham-Louis Breguet and the world in which he lived, but with beautiful photos details every watch and clock in the exhibit. Hi Magnus. Indeed this has been in Europe....a lot. It has been at the Hermitage, the Louvre and both Swiss National Museums (Prangins and Zurich). San Francisco is the first time outside of Europe.
Hi Gang. There are just a few places left for the Thursday Oct 1 visit to the Breguet Exhibit at the Palace of the Legion of Honor followed by dinner. I guess one point was not clear.....Breguet is hosting the whole thing, Museum ticket and dinner. We are their guests. Jeff
