Last week Breguet opened a special exhibit and the SF Museum of the Palace of the Legion of Honor.  The exhibit is stunning, breathtaking in fact.  70+ historical pieces from Abraham-Louis Breguet including such gems at Napoleon's Travel Clock, the Marie-Antoinette watch, and much much more.  The exhibit pieces have been the subject of similar special exhibits at the Louvre, Hermitage and Swiss National Museum.  I could spend a hour gazing at the Marie-Antoinette alone!

Breguet has invited a small group of Purists to visit the exhibit and therefollowing head to fabulous dinner in SF.  The event starts at 3 pm at the museum.  Now the bad news.  We have but a handful of invitations.  So it will be first come first served.  Please PM me if you want to come, but I urge you to jump on this as the slots are sure to go quickly.  Look forward to seeing you!

His creativity was boundless and it is thrilling to see how relevant what he did 200 years ago is today. I still have a hand

Breguet has produced a gorgeous hard bound book for the exhibit authored by Breguet historian, Emmanuel Breguet, and the Museum curator, Martin Chapman. Not only does it give fascinating insights into the life of Abraham-Louis Breguet and the world in which he lived, but with beautiful photos details every watch and clock in the exhibit. Breguet has no confirmed that all of those in our group will receive a copy of this fabulous book as well a copy of the latest issue of Le Quai de l'Horloge, th

Hi Magnus. Indeed this has been in Europe....a lot. It has been at the Hermitage, the Louvre and both Swiss National Museums (Prangins and Zurich). San Francisco is the first time outside of Europe.

Hi Gang. There are just a few places left for the Thursday Oct 1 visit to the Breguet Exhibit at the Palace of the Legion of Honor followed by dinner. I guess one point was not clear.....Breguet is hosting the whole thing, Museum ticket and dinner. We are their guests. Jeff
