The Breguet 7147 represents a contemporary dress watch execution within the manufacturer's current catalog. This reference utilizes a 39mm case diameter, positioning it as a moderately sized option suitable for daily wear applications.
The watch features a rose gold case construction paired with a white dial configuration. The timepiece incorporates automatic movement technology and utilizes sapphire crystal for dial protection. Water resistance extends to 30 meters, indicating suitability for basic daily exposure rather than aquatic activities. The case design includes a coin-edge bezel treatment.
This reference appeals to collectors seeking a precious metal dress watch with classical proportions. The 39mm case size accommodates various wrist dimensions while the rose gold construction provides warmth against the white dial. The automatic movement eliminates manual winding requirements, making this reference practical for regular rotation within a collection focused on contemporary Breguet offerings.
I have the older 5140 but so tempted to buy this one. The enamel indentation is really something. My 5140 is a two piece construction. Still very lovely. Congratulations on owning a Breguet with wonderful and true DNA.
I just cannot settle between whether this or the 5177 is the simple enamel dial Breguet for me.
Especially if the date doesn't bother you. To me, the sunken subdial and the Grand Feu dial together were everything about the 7147.
I'd wear this watch! Even if the seconds don't hack! Beautiful watch! You have excellent taste!
but my dealer said, "Mike, this watch will bore you and you'll be back trying to trade it in for something more exciting." so I refrained and got something else. Can't remember what but it must have seemed more exciting at the time. Today I might be satisfied with this one. Mike
Great strap choice too.
