GLau's acquisition of the Blancpain x Swatch Scuba Fifty Fathoms in bright yellow sparked a lively discussion among collectors. This article delves into the community's initial reactions and ongoing debate surrounding the collaboration, offering insights into how these accessible interpretations might influence perceptions of their luxury counterparts. GLau's post serves as a timely anchor for exploring the broader implications of such partnerships in the watch industry.

But the names Omega and Blancpain on the dials.
“Inspired by Blancpain or Omega” instead. LOL.
I know some people think these cheapen the brand but I actually think it opens up the possibility of these buyers to buy the real deal one day if they like the design. Maybe just rebrand them like you say.
A few months ago I posted this piece of crap that was given to me as a gift which I appreciated (the gift part and not the watch). I wore it a few days and now it just sits because I keep remembering some real watches you could buy for the money. Even the lesser Swatch models would be more fun.
Like the latest offerings from Omega and Blancpain though, and maybe these Swatch tributes to these brands could bring them closer to getting the real ones in the future. Who knows? I hear ya though. That yellow one is pretty hard to look at but nice that it was a gift.
Hi Definitely eye-catching, but that's the aim of lots of Swatches, Like it's compatriots in the background - especially the jungle one. Still not got around to looking at this one, or getting a Moonswatch, as a bit too much effort to have to go to a Swatch store. Enjoy wearing it Cheers JML
