Emmanuel, known as quattro on WatchProSite, introduces Baltic's new Worldtimer collection, highlighting three distinct models featuring captivating stone dials. His post meticulously details the specifications and unique functionalities of these accessible world-timers, providing an invaluable first look for collectors interested in microbrand innovation and travel complications. Emmanuel's comprehensive overview sets the stage for appreciating Baltic's design philosophy and technical choices.

Baltic releases three fairly affordable Worldtimers, each one featuring a stone dial.

To begin with, here's the Tiger Eye variant.

Watch, Baltic

Each variant can be purchased either with a beads of rice bracelet or with a leather strap.

The 24-hour disc, which can be set via the crown, can either be synchronised with the hour hand (and become a day night indicator) or be used as a second time zone indicator. It makes one full turn per day.

Below:

  • On the Tiger Eye model (left): the disc indicates a second time zone (midnight) independent from the 10:10 of the hands.
  • On the Labradorite model (right): the disc is synchronised with the hands and indicates that it is 13:55 and not 1:55.

The 120 clicks unidirectional brushed ceramic bezel can be adjusted independently to indicate the main 24 time zones around the world.

Below is the Labradorite variant.

And the watches are powered by an automatic Soprod C125 (modified, no date) beating at 28,800vph (4Hz) with stop second and 42h power reserve.

The dial and hands are well lumed with Super-LumiNova® BGW9.

You can tell that this brand is run by people who really like watches. Also, stone dials seem to be hot right now.

because they truly love watches. Stone dials are not always welcome, but here they are very fine. Best, Emmanuel

between these two sizes. I guess their taste for vintage is the reason for the 37 mm diameter. Best, Emmanuel

The contrast is so nice with that one. I imagine the sun reflecting off it while reading a book in the window seat on a future flight - lovely. The fonts used look great. I’ve heard complaints in the comments section of other sites about the lack of a seconds hand and minute indices…I think the lack of them is another aspect that makes this so wonderful. Thanks so much for sharing.
