Joepny shares a remarkable service experience with Audemars Piguet's Clearwater service center, detailing the swift and professional overhaul of his Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar 25820SP. His account highlights AP's commitment to efficient, high-quality service, setting a benchmark for luxury watch maintenance.

I sent my AP RO QP 25820SP off to the service center in Clearwater on Jan 17th.  Yesterday on Feb 14th, I got a call from Courtney that they completed the overhaul maintenance (they honored my no polishing request) and it would be sent back to me.  And today on the 1st day of the Lunar New Year, my daily wear AP RO QP is back on my wrist.  Mind.  Blown.

4 Weeks to complete maintenance on a thin perpetual calendar watch.  For comparison, a few years ago I had an IWC Da Vinci perpetual calendar chronograph and it took 7 weeks for the Richemont Service Center to complete.

Terrific job AP Clearwater!!!  Hats off to Betsy, Luz, and Stacy from the AP Client Care team and of course the anonymous watchmaker(s) who worked on my RO QP.

Here's a recap of the problems I had with my RO QP:
-RO QP showed signs of a movement problem in November 2017.  When the month of November changed to December, the month subdial did not change correctly.  The month hand moved halfway between Nov and Dec.  I didn’t think much of it at the time and used the corrector to adjust it.

-Then when Dec 2017 became Jan 2018, again the month subdial did not change correctly.  Again the month hand moved slightly halfway.  And the leap year indicator did not move at all.  And then worse, the hand moved back to pointing directly at Dec even though it was a few days into January.

I've taken a cursory look using a loupe and have not found any quality control issues.  Now I am looking forward to the month change from February to March.  Watch nerd time!

My watch was returned very securely in a well cushioned mailing box and then inside, I got the typical green AP service box that held my watch.

A typical nice gift for the complete service, a brown AP travel watch box.

Yes, the statement is lofty. But I believe it. Certainly for AP, there is no better option. Glad they took care of you so quickly. On a personal note, I appreciate and also have experienced what I consider to be ultra fast turnaround times from Clearwater. But that is not the paramount reason for why I think they are the best. Again, I appreciate it, but I am more than willing to wait to have the service done correctly, the logistics handled professionally and stress free, great communication, e

Lucky for me here in the US, it appears Clearwater is very good. I do not understand why service is allowed to become poor. As a manager, I would not tolerate it.

Website mentions 1,600 CHF so that makes sense. Mine is due for an overhaul...
