About the Breitling Unitime Ref. 2610

The Breitling Unitime Reference 2610 is a notable world timer from the brand's mid-20th century production, designed to display multiple time zones simultaneously. This model was part of Breitling's broader strategy to offer specialized instruments for professionals and travelers, distinguishing itself with a practical and legible world time complication.

The watch typically features a stainless steel case, often measuring around 38mm in diameter, housing a manual-winding movement. The dial is characterized by its rotating inner bezel, which displays 24 cities representing different time zones, allowing the wearer to track global time at a glance. The movement is engineered for reliability and precision, consistent with Breitling's standards for its tool watches of the era.

For collectors, the Reference 2610 represents an important piece of Breitling's heritage in functional complications. Its world time function, combined with its vintage aesthetic, makes it a sought-after example of early travel watches. The model's design and utility reflect the growing demand for global timekeeping in the post-war period.

Original Super Ocean is superb! Not a fan of the rainbow version recently released. [nt]

I am waiting to see the new " Rainbow " in the flesh, but for the moment, my first feeling is not too good. [nt]

I find something uncomfortable about too much 'makeup' on a tool watch. Even if it is a reissue.

A bit like turning up for a military assault course in 5 inch Louboutins (maybe not the best analogy!)
