For sale is my Rolex Submariner Date ref. 1680, the classic vintage “White Submariner” with matte black dial, acrylic crystal, date with cyclops, and Oyster bracelet.
This is the desirable late-vintage 1680 configuration with all-white printing, creamy tritium-style patina, and the warm vintage look that made the reference so collectible. The 1680 is the original date Submariner reference and the only date Submariner fitted with an acrylic crystal, which gives it a very different character from later sapphire models.
Condition
Honest vintage condition. The watch presents very well on the wrist with attractive overall vintage character. Visible signs of age and use are present, including wear to the bezel insert, crystal marks, normal case/bracelet wear, and general aging consistent with a vintage Submariner. Please study the photos carefully, as they form part of the description.
