Panerai Ferrari FER00006 GranTourismo chronograph in 18K rose gold, with original croc strap, rubber strap, and 18K rose gold deployant clasp. Pre-owned in near-mint condition. It has a few tiny scuffs on the caseback and clasp, consistent with occasional wearing of a gold watch. The strap is shaped as if it has been worn but shows no other signs of wear. Includes inner and outer box and all papers. The watch is 45mm not including crown, 16.4mm thick, Panerai OP XII automatic movement (based on Valjoux 7753). One of only 300 made. To my knowledge, only two of the Ferrari models were made in gold (the 006 and 007) and only 300 of each of these models were manufactured. The Ferrari line has been discontinued, so this watch will always be one of only 600 gold Ferraris ever to be produced. List price is $30,500. This watch is an absolute stunner! If you like wearing a big hunk of gold on your wrist, this is definitely the watch for you. The watch head weighs 184g, and the deployant clasp 24g. Subtracting 20g for the movement, dial, and crystal, this gives you about 188g of 18K gold, which at today's prices is worth close to $7000. (BTW, if anyone knows the exact weight of the 7750 or 7753 movement, please pm me and let me know). And of course you can hear and feel the 7753-based movement inside as you wear it, which is the watch telling you it's alive. You need to see a GranTurismo in person to truly appreciate the square texture pattern on the dial. This model is in my opinion the best of the GranTurismo line. It is remarkable in person, and of course the pictures do not truly do it justice. Although I do not post here, I have plenty of references from TimeZone and would be happy to provide them.
