So I tried to track the import code.
It looks like NDU, but Dr Ranfft does not show that one, nor could I find it elsewhere. There is an NOU but the importers listed didn’t lead me to an AS1700. Anybody have a different idea of what that import code may be? PS. The watch is for auction this week.

Which I will probably not get. My initial reaction was a small case, and then noticed the 41 mm stated diameter. Thank goodness BP had a better sense of proportion and aesthetics. Google Florent Pagny, it is from his collection.
A watch to run away.
For me only the case, the caseback and the caseback ring are Blancpain. Reprinted dial which does not correspond to the type of the first Aqualung manufactured for the US. The bezel and insert are not Blancpain and I have serious doubts about the movement...

This does not look like first generation aqua lung but i find the dial very interesting.
I have not see the RI on the dial with an aqua lung dial. Very cool. Brian
