AP Grand prix Offshore a very polarising piece
In 2010 AP started the infamous forged carbon bezels for the offshore and the divers line. Many issues & complaints because of chipping. Mine luckily had no issues but I sold it after a year or so as having OCD personality could not bear with illusional appearance of the bezel not being in perfect shape . The fibres gave illusion and the bezel edges would appear curvy..

one has the impression to see a chipped bezel…
Owners were given an option to change to a ceramic bezel.
Forged carbon does not really chip, but it can dent. I never had issues with my carbon Alinghi.
Malleable metals have their advantages
Sure, they get dings but often in ways that add character/depth or bring back (not always bad, but notable) memories
