20 years of German reunification - a precondition for the revival of A. Lange und Söhne
Dear fellow PuristS,
October 3rd, 2009 - celebrating 20 years of the German reunification after the opening of the wall took place on November 9 th, 1989.
As I have not come across any comments on this anniversary, I post this mail.
Without these profound historic changes we would very likely have no watch brands like ALS and GO (or Nomos) and no according brand forums on this page 
!
At least this "little" side-effect of the big world of politics to our small world of watch enthusiasts came to my mind yesterday.

This was how it started back in 1961: the wall was built:
28 years later it was deconstructed - peacafully!
