Servicing Questions

Hi all, I recently purchased a Lange watch earlier this year. Despite being recently serviced by the seller, there were obvious scratches on the sides of the movement bridges and the movement occasionally jams and stops working. I've been in contact with Watches of Switzerland to send it back under warranty. Given this is my first time sending a Lange for servicing, is there anything I should ask from the AD in terms of verifying the watch is insured while they and Lange are handling it? Or anything I should request in terms of documentation?

You would have the paperwork today. Not sure if the company you mentioned is an official retailer of Lange? So I assume you bought used? And is it still under Lange warranty? I personally never saw a Lange coming back with scratches on the movement! So I ...

The seller sent me the receipt and documentation from Lange for the service, and Lange has confirmed the watch is still under service warranty. I received a 'full set' from the seller, the booklet was not filled out however. I'm more concerned of theft or...

You probably should go ahead and ask directly rather than get opinions from outside parties, but unless there are regional quirks i'm not familiar with, my presumption would be that if the counterparties involved are WOS and Lange (i.e. you are handing yo...

Hi Johnathan, I assume WoS (a) is a Lange AD where you are (Australia it seems) and (b) will handle the shipping/insurance logistics. If true, AND IF THAT'S REALLY ALL YOU CARE ABOUT, then just give the watch to WoS and they'll ship it back to Lange using...

Sorry for the delay. I was just going to say that it sounds like the only unpleasant surprise you might receive would be if Lange said the movement was damaged due to impact. Hopefully that won't happen. Please keep us posted, and good luck!
