Very sensible choice of pieces ! A true connoisseur !

By: COUNT DE MONET : November 6th, 2010-14:53
Many thanks for the report and pictures. To choose one top notch technical watch and one watch for it's design only is a well balanced display of "the Lange-feeling" and a true pundit's approach to this theme. And yes, the movement is a tad too small for ...

Who knows?

You may be wrong... Not sure that my latest catch is a 1815 Moonphase. Best, Nicolas

I felt a shake in the force actually, when you congratulated me ...

... for my moonphase. "So, you are the first among us to got it... " I am honestly sorry that I might have "spoiled" others anticipation about this piece, but this is how it is. I did not mean that you went also for it, when I said I look forward to your ...

LOL, Mr Le Comte...

Please tell us more about the movement finishing of the moonphase...

 By: DonCorson : November 6th, 2010-15:36
It appears to have a simple guilloché pattern in the center of the 3/4 bridge. What is after that? Do I see damascining as on many US pocket watch movements? Is that a typical Glasshütte finishing and I am ignorant or is that something new? I can not reme...

The 3 F.A.Lange have different finishings.

 By: foversta : November 6th, 2010-16:29
Their finishings may look similar but in fact they are different. The Moonphase has a sunburst finish + a solarisation for the outer zone and an undulated ornamentation. The Lange 1 Tourbillon has a bidirectional solarisation on the three-quarter plate + ...
