Lange 1 accuracy
Jun 04, 2018,18:53 PM
It's been quite long I haven't purchased a new watch until lately i acquired a Royal Oak Jumbo which I found very reliable and accurate, like it's faster by less than a minute in a day.
So yesterday I'm curious to check the time of my Lange 1 which is unquestionably superb. I understand it's a mechanical watch and there is certain standard as an acceptable accuracy. But today when I check its time after 24 hours, I'm quite surprised that the Lange 1 keeps its time as accurate as merely 2 seconds faster (than the iPhone time) after 24 hours. Have to mention that the Lange is 7 years old now, and I haven't taken it to service yet. Given it's functioning so well, most accurate amongst my collection, I'm not sure there's any urge to have a service. Honestly, I'll keep wearing it until someday it starts to slow down obviously.

the Lange seems to do very fine indeed. However, the Royal Oak seems to be a bit too fast. I would say that everything within +/- 10 sec per day is perhaps just be acceptable but almost 1 min is really too much. Certainly for a modern watch. Nevertheless,...
