Thanks for sharing, I agree with you in that increasing the power reserves within most of the calibers is not really that big of a deal to me either as I don't mind setting or winding my Lange's at all. What i do find troubling is that Lange's full rotor ... 

I'm sure gold is too soft for a rotor of those dimensions. Nevertheless, I strongly disapprove of gold plating and would prefer to see the underlying metal, whatever it is.

The question that comes to mind for me is how much does power reserve factor in when deciding to purchase a watch. Although Lange has been criticized for not having a long PR in some models, is this enough to keep someone from buying a Lange? Although a n...

In fact, behind its evolution, as you understand it, there is a will by Lange to enlarge its customers base. Collectors don't really care about this power reserve story, they are focussed in the complications, the beauty of craftsmanship, the finishings.....
