Habring² presents the new Automatic Sport with jumping second

Jul 19, 2007,11:44 AM

At Habring² the year 2007 was planned to stand for the first chrono-model - available in two versions (with and without date indication). We are happy to preannounce that a major number out of the entire serie is reserved for three exclusive models in close cooperation with Sincere Haute Horlogerie in Singapore.

Due to the unexpected great success of our Jumping-Second model 2005 (with Chezard 116 movement) and the fact that the last 6 pcs. will be part of a collectors set for SHH in 2007 we had to launch another major new development in 2007:

The Habring²-Sports-Automatic 2007 is actually world's only wristwatch which contains a Jumping-Second or dead-beat-second movement of recent production! The inhouse-developed movement based on ETA's newest design - the Valgranges - carries the name "A07" (short for "Austria 2007"  - and will be available from summer on. While the basic model featuring a big date device at 3h - further versions are available with additional power reserve indication or 24h-GMT-device. The actual top-model is the full calendar.

Last but not least we're happy to present our first ladies version. Following the opinion that "ladies should not wear small watches" - the new Time-Only MOP shares the same case size like the gent's version and features mother-of-pearl dial in various colours.

Do you have any pictures of his jumping second mechanism? I'd be interested if it works like the Chezard, or is different Aaron

Similar to the Chézard, but different realisation ...

... the difficult part is that the jumping second parts cannot be added as a mere module, but have to be integrated into the movement itself. Regards, Marcus

Details would be nice.

I would also be very much interested to see how the jumping second mechanism was integrated into the ETA movement. Is it a Habring2 add on or is it a customized derivative of the ETA movement ? Best regards from Germany, Heinrich
