A breeze of fresh air....

There are some watches that can't let you untouched !

I don't know many WIS that have no interest for a RM for instance.

They say hello but from where ?

There are also some simpler more affordable examples.

An UFO or a watch !

Ikepod is a watch company whose designs never stopped to struck me.

I'd love to find a shirt with this on it.

I nearly got this one by accident but I must admit it's really refreshing and I'm very happy with it.

A dial in the middle of a black hole

This watch is more about contemporary design than horology

Honestly it is surprisingly readable

I'm not just an old schnock and this watch proves it (at least to myself).

My first black case

I hesitated with a RMOO4 but there was no one available.

Easier than a RM chrono : you want to start, stop or reset the chrono hand, use the same color pushers !

A smell of vanilla is all over the place as I write those words.

The rubber strap is comfortable, although not so easy to put on.

There were many case and dial variations available.

Very luminous hands but it lacks a reference luminous dot on the dial

If you're interested by this watch design you have to know that Ikepod is just coming back from some sleep.

Black brushed case

On the other side too

If you happen to be a fan of designer Marc Newson that's probably the only affordable item from this talented man.

The Hemipode bird

I don't think this watch is for everybody, but you may try it as it's really different.

The back window

The movement is nicely finished, nothing exceptional, but that's not the point here.

Nothing exceptional but an efficient calibre Valjoux 7750

Don't be afraid by the large sizes, it fits smallish wrists perfectly.

43 mm on my small wrist, finally a large watch that fits me !

I hope you liked it.

Cheers

Nice watch! I've liked the Ikepod design from the very beginning.

I couldn't find one with a strap that was short enough for me. Perhaps nows the time to look around again. Is that PVD on the case? You'll have to report on the ruggedness of it over time. Thanks Jerome!

Congrats Jerome!

Ikepod watches never leave me ambivalent, I either like it or detest it - I definitely like your newest acqusition. I've never seen this model in PVD before, is it a limited edition? Another Ikepod model I like is the Megapode flyback chronograph, a massi...
