Watch was retailed by Ricciardi

Ricciardi was a Rolex dealer based in Argentina.  The stamped numbers on the back of the lug correspond to the inventory numbers from the jeweler.  If you search online (and in the forum, you'll see numbers beginning with 154,xxx and 155,xxx being typical of the time on Rolexes retailed by Ricciardi.

Often confused with cartier stamped numbers, but they are of a different number series.

Best,
Eric

Would the stamping of such serial numbers not done by Rolex affects the value of a piece vintage watch? You know, how things that are "un-Rolex" can hurt the value of an otherwise nice piece. Thanks all :)

It is like dials with double name.

Like a Tiffany Rolex dial without the sales receipt it is not as valuable. The extra Riccardi stamp validates the watch when the papers correspond. Bill

Tiffany

I once had a Rolex Explorer with tiffany n the dial , It s hard to proof if it is Original without papers .

Yes that is correct

No validation paper work makes the double name dial less valuable. Bill
