Rolex

Hello all, I post a photo of a 6542 red writing, Waterproof 165 ft/50metres. 1955 and apparently rather rare (though I think our friends from OP, less than 10 pieces) If any of you know a bit more .... Credit Chrono24: ...  

I was talking to a friend who deals in watches and asked him about this watch. His response was that it is very rare and that he had only seen one in the last 10 years. Then....the following week, he was offered one to buy. 1 month later, a German dealer ... 

As it was produced in a few years ( from 55 to 59 ), and not in a massive batch. An US notice states that only 605 were sent to the US Market... So we can reasonably say that there were not too many made during these 5 years. Now about the Red 6542, to sa... 

Although obviously, no one can confirm these figures. I was just transcribe what I have read elsewhere. For the current sale, note that I have nothing to gain, it is the only photo I found, I apologize if I have overstepped the PuristS rules.

i hate having to explain about my watch. My hunch, it is nicely "made" ;-)
