Go grey and I did.

Bought my 5970G over a year ago and paid above list from grey market.

I've been wearing it and love it very much and some of those who advised me against going grey still have not got theirs!!!

What I paid then seems very very cheap now.

try getting out of the NY market

 By: jonrus : November 20th, 2007-17:50
some other dealers out of state might give you a better service/chance of getting one. I've never bought within NY... never been treated right in my limited experience there. Other dealers that are not as "urban" will at least try to earn your business. H...

A gentle reminder about our forum guidelines.....

 By: SuitbertW : November 21st, 2007-14:49
Hi, TTforcefed, all, I'd kindly request not to discuss street prices or discounts here in our forum. I can see that buying or hunting for a certain hard to come by reference is also part of watch collecting - and that was the reason I didn't do anything t...

Dear We’re not in the middle ages. I can understand the “rule” for not discussing prices but we’re talking something totally different here. We’re NOT chasing rare watches here. We’re not enjoying the HUNT for rare watches. Looking for a watch at a normal...

Thats the real meaning of hunting a watch

 By: MilDiver : November 23rd, 2007-09:09
This is the meaning for hunting. This watch, found in its ORIGINAL condition, was taken form the hand of an Egiptian commando diver . In 1968 a group of S13 seals and "Sayeret Matcal", both are top elith IDF units, had an operation and took over the Green...

Hello, Tzachi,...

...you shouldn't read too much in the choice of words of my posting. My english is "basic" only so this shouldn't be taken too serious. So much about picking on the word "hunting" here. It may very well be a definition issue here only - and I'm sure some ...

Hi Suibert....

I'm mainly a "lurker" here and always admire your wisdom and knowledge. But I can't believe you could even utter the words, "I also believe that no manufacturer would intentionally create a supply/demand gap of this amount - it wouldn't make any sense and...

As I said,.....

Hi, SJC, as I said, i'm not an economist And I'm not in the shoes of PP as well - but I believe that we often don't look enough at the whole picture. Rolex Daytona - as much as this is a special example, it could be a ood one as well. Do we actually know ...

Dear Suitbert No offence at all, on the contrary, I found the discussion on this loaded fragalistic subject interesting and enjoyable. I’d also like to thank you for taking the time and seriously trying to explain your “side”. Let me raise some points her...

I am posting from my Thanksgiving trip in Las Vegas, and took the time to visit Patek AD here.. They command a "full MSRP deposit" for any "hard to find PP piece", and the wait is >1yr. "how about the interest on the money... I asked myself.... If the AD ...
