 By: mywrongwrist : April 17th, 2011-07:09
Ciao a tutti (that is hello to everybody), Reading a lot, for many many months... Lusting after many different watches: Jaeger LeCoultre extreme labII, last year AP F1 carbon crono, some interesting FP Journe, again Jager LeCoultre Duometre (both crono an...

Luca-rev, For me, this piece occupies a special place: the most beautiful watch in the world. I don't wear it as often as it's grey brother or the sporty PPs and APs, but when I do, my aesthetic sensibilities are enhanced. Park

I totally agree with Park...

I also have the 5960 with the blue dial and yes it is Beautiful. I own a few limited AP and Mille but they don't touch the 5960. Go for the Blue!

Blue face, grey face...

It all depends on your own taste, Luca. The blue face is a bit sportier, when the grey dial is a tad more chic. In both cases you won't go wrong. Now, if I had to choose between a JLC Duometre à Chrono or this PP 5960, I would go for the JLC. The mov...

it's not as common as the gray, so far in the market. Furthermore, PP's signature color is now the blue dial.

5960 vs Duometre vs Lange advice

 By: mywrongwrist : April 17th, 2011-12:35
Thanks for the replies! Dear Nicolas, why do you prefer the Duometre vs. 5960? In the same price range of the 5960, is there someone who think Lange to be a better choice? Again many questions, I feel a little sorry for that, and I know that including new...

It comes to fine Chronographs. Their design is much more appealing, for me. Compare the movement of a PP 5960 to the one of a Datograph or a Duometre, it will jump to your eyes. + the fact that the Annual calendar doesn't sing to me. + the spohistication ...

Nicolas, you are so right

When it comes to a fine chrino, the manual watches you mention are heads above the 5960/5980. Now let's be clear, the 5960 is a wonderful watch. Comfortable, sporty, attractive, all thngs which have been mentioned. Heads over many, many watches. But when ...

Blue dial for me

 By: pv45 : April 18th, 2011-05:49
I have had the blue dial 5960 since january this year and it's hardly been off my wrist - I love it. I prefer it to grey dial version because I like the sportier look and also because the dial feels more harmonious with the centre circle of the monocounte...

The blue is it

It's an easy daily wear, more balanced than in grey and the tint on the dial is magnificent. Only the 5170 can compete

Thanks to everyone...

... participating in this "boring" discussion... I made my decision, but I think you have to wait some months to see what will be the first pic of one of my watches, I'm sure this will deserve one Thanks again both to the people supporting my choice, and ...
