Am I correct is assuming that you would pay more for a watch in yellow gold if you knew that fewer pieces were produced in yellow gold than in platinum? For example, would you pay more for a yellow gold 5070 than a platinum 5070 if you knew that only 100 ... 

if it has not to do with the watch as you have suggested, then they are not collectors but merely hoaders. watches in my opinion are not cars to show off, they are personal gratifications and perhaps only those in the know will recognise a minute repeater... 

it's the "holy grail" watch for the PP collector... I don't think there are too many WIS out there who can just show the watch at a whim... that's what makes it special..
