Not the vintage, here, but the re edition. The Vintage is one of my Grails, but finding one is almost impossible as very few were made... Less than Ten? While the re edition is a missed train. Not very popular when launched, you could get one for less tha...

I agree with you on that one.

It's my favorite white Speedmaster as well ....

;-)

I've always struggled with one detail

The Ladies' bathroom sign hands, otherwise lovely and great bragging rights!

I’ve always thought they looked like the NASA Apollo Service Module

…which I’m glad that I see, rather than a ladies bathroom sign (!)

Me too! ;)

Alas, these missed trains…

Cue the somber music.

LOL, well said!

This will always be the white dial to own

I adore the subdial indices

Me too!

Would have been so easy...

They could have used the matte case from the Soeedy tuesday I and the hands from your re-edition. Together with the newly presented white dial you have a perfect watcg Alaska Project IV

Yes, same for me.

Very surprising to hear

that this was not very sought after and available quite cheap shortly afterwards - a lot like the "TinTin". I have a soft spot tor these oddball Speedmasters - they are a really nice variation of this evergreen-watch.

I think you need to fork out more than 10k even if you can find the re-edition now…

I recalled taking a photo of the re-edition when it was on display during it launch. If I can find it, maybe just post it here. 😅

Brings back memories of when Alaskas . . .

. . . were available. [photo credit: Dr No, 2010] Don't recall them being discounted, but they were readily available for a few years. The recent limited Speedy personally missed is the Apollo-Soyuz meteorite dial, which came out shortly after the Alaska ...

The dials were sliced from a meteor . . .

. . . which makes them truly 'moon' watches. Wish I'd bought one then . . . they're double in price now.

Alas, alas...
