I have come a full circle
30 years ago, I started with vintages. Then I moved on to modern wristwatches. Three years ago, I unloaded the bulk of my modern watches....not a bad idea in hindsight. Lately I am drawn to vintages again - simple elegant designs, probably time only piece...
8171 is just such a classic. I wish Rolex would make this type of a watch again.

The Rolex has IMO become too overvalued
VS some of the other vintage triple dates. For me the JLC and VC’s still hold great value in this time period.
