I have come a full circle

30 years ago, I started with vintages. Then I moved on to modern wristwatches. Three years ago, I unloaded the bulk of my modern watches....not a bad idea in hindsight. Lately I am drawn to vintages again - simple elegant designs, probably time only piece...

Less is more :)

8171 is just such a classic. I wish Rolex would make this type of a watch again.

This omega is fantastic. This is the gold period for omega. Unlike the current watches (imo).

I'm waiting for you to join the Ω chronometer club, Nicolas. And when . . .

. . . you do, we'll celebrate with . . . . . . Olympia beer t-shirts. Unfortunately, Olympia went out of business years ago, so we won't be able to raise a toast. 🍻 ...

Deal! ;)

I will pay my money right now if Rolex would bring that model back...

...why did they ever stop making it? So elegant and useful.

The Rolex has IMO become too overvalued

VS some of the other vintage triple dates. For me the JLC and VC’s still hold great value in this time period.
