Don,t think so - I think they were just registering surprise, but it does confirm the huge wealth of knowledge and expertise here, and the willingness that people have to share it
Personally I think it is stunning, whether it is black enamel or enamel black look!

Speedmaster 50th Anni Enamel dial Limited Ed

Got this one finally after admiring it for years. When it was first launched, the price was way too much for a Speedmaster Pro. Managed to get it today at much reduced price for a NOS piece. So happy! ...

sorry - should have said "enamel black look"

Omega says: "The dial is made out of enamel". Add to that the fact that the movement is not the usual Moon Watch Lemania but the Omega caliber 3201 COSC certified, Co Axial (F Piguet 1285 based). A cool watch that I should grab on a blink. Congratulations...

Thanks! [nt]

It was an enamel dial but collectors wanted a lemania mvt

 By: Miranda : November 13th, 2017-22:39
The mvt was an automatic with the rotor missing and that unfortunately killed it, the packaging was amazing if a little ott Best Imran

Thanks for the info

Now i know why the movement looks odd

Well, indeed,

it is a REAL ENAMEL dial, as already Nilo said. There is no two identical dial because of the imperfections of the enameling! Huge congrats, I like the watch a lot! Yours, Adam

Thanks!

Not a mistake after all? Well done, self..

That's a relief!...

I sure hope it's enamel! Looks like it under a loupe and was always told that it was. Congrats! It's my only Speedie. I believe it's ref. no. 311.33.42.50.01.001. ...

Looks great!

I was also unaware of this edition, but even to my untrained eye the dial definitely has more 'pop'.
