For the 50 remaining watches, it is planned in May. Hope each here could find his own!! Cheers, Patrickh

The PAM358 is nothing special IMO

 By: AnthonyTsai : April 14th, 2010-11:29
Just wanted to spread my 2 cents on this Chronopassion LE piece. There's nothing really that special about it so don't get caught up in the "hype" because the PAM358 doesn't deserve any IMO :P Buy this watch only if you like the look of it.... - AT PS. Fo...

Totally agree and ...Therefore

I wonder if the indexes are really made in Tritium, as written on the dial.... If not, it is curious... As curious as the agressive commercial approach on this watch... I would also like to know who is the person posting the copyrighted picture on our web...

I was told

 By: Jester : April 15th, 2010-09:15
that the indices are NOT made w/ Tritium.

Huh? On the dial ....

... I see an "L" for Luminova, not a "T" for tritium. Regards, Marcus

Wasn't it the case on the 285, Malik?

 By: amanico : April 16th, 2010-15:59
Thanks for the correction, my friend. Best, Nicolas

Well, depends on your definition of "special"....

 By: jay.pulli : April 15th, 2010-05:44
Certainly the 358 is no 21, 127, 203, 300, 339, 249, or 232. But if you want a 47 mm sub, I think it is special. I recently put a 243, 285 and 305 next to one another and took a group look. My eye was attracted to the 285. It looked "knarly" to me, for th...

Natural or not

funny to see some people being so eloquent about this watch which as yet to be 'fletched' by some of its future owners. There is no beef right? so how about waiting for those who will get it, this to finally allowing us to get their first hand impressions...

I assure you you just did it again. [nt]

Agree AT. The one feature I find very intriguing...

 By: MichaelC : April 15th, 2010-05:53
Is the omission of the date feature on a Submersible. The number "9" is my favorite aspect of this watch. I believe Panerai has yet to create the "perfect" Submersible for what I would like. The 87 F-H remains my favorite.

A 47 mm Egiziano would be THE one, for me. [nt]

Get in line gentlemen.

 By: MichaelC : April 15th, 2010-10:07
Years ago when I passed on the PAM203 from Philippe Bonay, I told him I wanted the first 47mm Egiziano when it would be released. He told me not to bank on it, as making the watch in 47mm would not be correct and Angelo would never do it. These days, noth...

Hi Anthony

I've tried to figure it out for myself with not much success. What does IMO stand for? Thanks+cheers - Sergio

Photos of those pieces give a hint of one’s dna

 By: PoyFR : April 14th, 2010-14:36
What is that caught between the bezel highly raised markers at 4 and 5? You are framed That piece and the likes are hairs and threads catchers, as applied indexes to the bezel always cause that problem. I think it is strange to produce a diving watch with...

Funny that you mention it

 By: Jester : April 14th, 2010-19:26
I believe the indices & numerals on the bezel on 194 were originally made in white gold. Subsequently on the 285 it was made entirely in titanium probably for the purpose of further weight cutting.

well...

It's a nice watch but IMO not worth all the hype To be honnest at 47mm certainly not for everyone's wrist, and the indexes are to 'modern' for me, it would have been nicer with just the dots like on the 305 f.ex., and for all trouble they could have put a...

my hopes too and this version does not fit on my wrist.

Then, One ex for a real 358 lover. Cheers, Patrickh

I have not seen a 239, don't know anyone who owns one, ....

 By: jay.pulli : April 15th, 2010-06:17
don't see them for sale often. But these sold out fast, and somebody must own them. Low enough volume (75) that I imagine there are 75 collectors who wanted them and have them sitting in their collections. The 358 is like this. These low volume special ed...

or maybe...

" Low enough volume (75) that I imagine there are 75 collectors who wanted them and have them sitting in their collections." 5 collectors and 7 speculators with 10 each waiting for the day to unload them at obscene mark ups... ;-) Hi, Jay, hope all's well...

Laurent' politics are to mostly deliver only one watch

 By: patrickh : April 15th, 2010-11:51
by person in order to prevent from flippers and allow real collectors to get one. By the way, 239 is very rare on the second market. I really think it is a good manner to do IMHO. Thanks to Laurent. Best regards, Patrickh

I know LP and have the utmost respect for him.

 By: ThomasM : April 15th, 2010-14:01
Please give him my best regards. Cheers, TM
