My Visit to the IWC Madison Boutique (Jubilee Collection):

When IWC announced their 150th Anniversary Jubilee Collection at SIHH '18, I fell in love with the Portugieser Chronograph Edition "150 Years" (IW371602). Originally, I didn't even know about its existence until I saw a photo on CEO Christoph Grainger-Herr's Instagram page after SIHH. I quickly became intrigued and placed a deposit down after seeing additional photos plastered all over the web.

The boutique called me a few weeks ago to inform me they would have most of their Jubilee Collection models available for viewing this week. So, I jumped at the opportunity to see it in the flesh. For reference, my wrist size is ~6.7":

With the boutique lighting, it was challenging to take these photos. I wish I could have seen them in natural lighting. On the white dial, the hands and the painted numerals appear to be charcoal grey. But, at times, you can see the blue come to life. I must say that I was tremendously impressed with both the white and blue dial editions. I'm still leaning towards the white dial, but I told them I may switch to the blue dial.

Da Vinci Automatic Edition (IW358101) - sorry, not the best photo:

Pilot's Watch Chronograph Edition "150 Years" (IW377725):

They also had the Pilot's Watch Mk XVIII "Laureus Sport for Good Foundation" (IW324703). At 41mm, it's slightly larger than the standard Mk XVIII:

I was so excited to see this collection that I forgot to pack a green shirt. sad Fortunately, the St. Patrick's Day parade was on 5th Avenue and I had no problems getting to Madison Ave. I wore my recently acquired Seiko Presage Blue Enamel for the day:

Thanks for looking!

I was lucky enough to be at SIHH this year and photographed for the Horbiter website (Italian site, don't think it's widely known here yet). The blue Portofino with the lacquered dial was one of my favorites, the IWC lacquered dial has a matte feel to the...

I too happened to drop by the Boutique this week and saw these.

I will admit my interest in modern IWC is very limited, I'm a fan of the simple BP (having owned one) and appreciate what IWC have done on this model re their offer of numerous case materials at pretty much the same price point and in regular production (...
