And you should really not worry so much about your watches.

It is entirely possible (even likely) that some dust got into your watch. If it were a large enough particle, it certainly could've sopped the thing dead right away. Likewise, a largish particle could be hiding somewhere and be shaken loose in a few days/weeks/months/years/decades and stop the watch dead at that point. It's really nothing to worry about either way. The watch is running and keeping good time, the sun is shining, the birds are singing, whistle a happy tune,

Dust particles
How harmful or detrimental is it if dust particles get into the movement. I am sure during normal service (or case back swaps)it is possible as the watchmaker area may have controls set up for this, they cannot prevent it completely.
