Agree …

For the “serious” collectors of certain brands they collect, they will place provenance/importance high on the decision criteria list. As they would rarity as well.

For the “casual” collector, they may not care.

If it involves future resale value … then almost everyone seems to care. 🤣

As always, paramount in the equation is to get what you like.

Personally I’d much rather have a AP 5402, 15202 or a 15300 (all at 39 mm) in my collection than a more common production RO. Especially if I was going to pass it on my son or daughter.

My collector friend in Singapore recently bought the 41 mm laureato in blue and also in silver. For him to wear now and to pass to his two kids when they graduate from university. He likes that laureato means graduate in Italian.

The duo … My two LE edition Laureato Anniversary timepieces. -41 mm -LE with 225 made in blue dial and 225 made in silver dial. -Individual engraved number on the caseback. Not the “1 of 188” etc we usually see today. -Ref 81000 -First released in 2016 to...

Agree when it comes to the “basic” laureato

The 38 mm is a better size than the 42 mm from a preservation of proportions. For folks that can not decide between the 38 mm and the 42 mm … the 41 mm which is a LE, rare, and holds significant importance … IMHO. : )

Agree …

Too much dial text on these models.

And I have no idea what is going on with the date window - looks like the font size or at least the location of the printing on the date disc needs to be adjusted, or the window reduced. I would personally choose a non-limited model that I liked more.

I too would have preferred less writing

on the dial. The angle of the picture for the silver dial maybe misleading. But it this is still the one I would recommend for those that want just one laureato. And I love the date window and wheel. The font is especially attractive with open 9s and 6s. ...
