When in doubt …

Get both 😄 I wear the 36 mm laureato ref 8010 on the left wrist usually. And the 38 mm laureato ref 81005 on the right wrist. My right is slight thicker at 18.3 cm. Have a pleasant day ahead ☀️ ...

The smaller the better.

36 mm for the left and 38 mm for the right

 By: SingaporeMarc : December 1st, 2023-01:00
☺️ The 36 mm is 7.8 mm 38 mm is 10.2 mm ...

Agree. Proportionality is key

The 7.8 mm height remind me a bit of the Piaget type old school thin watches they had.

Absolutely!

Smaller probably better looking for your wrist

Larger has matching date wheel and I like the GP at 12 o'clock (surprising for me)

Interesting…

I’m glad to see folks appreciating smaller watches. My wrists are about 18.3 cm on the right and a bit less on the left. See pics in my response to fifty fathoms. I like white date wheels myself. They usually indicate a neo vintage or vintage watch. Kinda...

I personally prefer the 38mm,

not really because of the size, but because I’m not fond of the Arabic 12 and of the non matching date disc of the 36mm. Moreover I particularly like the grey dial of the 38mm: I’ve had the opportunity to see it in real life 2 years ago and liked it a lot...

I really like the grey anthracite dial as well

 By: SingaporeMarc : December 1st, 2023-00:58
Did you get the grey dial as well? I was saying to Teutonic that I like the NON-matching date wheel. More provenance IMHO. I find matching date wheels ok but a bit like wearing a blue belt with blue pants and blue shoes. Too matching. 😄 My cherished older...

Cool comparison

I’ve owned both the 38 and 42. I like the way the 42 mm fits on my wrist better. Just my own personal preference! ...

Yes I remember anguish and the exhilaration you had of the 38 mm

 By: SingaporeMarc : December 1st, 2023-03:44
And then the bye bye 38 and hello 42 mm That’s the “fun” of collecting. I just need up getting them in all sizes 😂 What’s you wrist size?

Good memory

7 inch wrist size

My wrist is a bit bigger but not by much

 By: SingaporeMarc : December 2nd, 2023-09:34
It’s a good size IMHO as it allows you to wears a variety of sizes of watches.

Greats watches Marc!

I really consider adding one day a Laureato in my small collection. I really like the design of this watch and the charm of the "Clous de Paris". You, who are one of the greatest Laureato collector on WatchProSite if you are not the greatest 😉 , could you...

Bonjour ☀️

Thank you. I am definitely the craziest laureato collector as I have so many of them 😀 I feel like the 42 mm will be too big. You choices will be: -36 mm laureato 8010 -38 mm laureato 81005 -40 mm laureato olimpico chronograph 8017 -41 mm laureato 81000 A...

Hello Marc! Thank you very much for your advices.

Yes I prefer buying from AD. I think you are right. My size must be 38mm. If I had to buy one right now I think I will go for the copper dial. On the photos I could find on internet, this one looks stunning. I will try to see it in the metal next time I g...

The GP3300 and the GP1800 are not COSC. No biggie. They are reliable. The 03300 is more true to GP proper. The 1800 was created by sowind (owners of both brands) for Jean Daniel Richard. When Kering took over both brands, they retired JDR and used what th...

I think it’s just the angle of the picture

Here are some older shots of the 38 mm. But yes, the 36 mm is more charming to me as well. And certainly more rare and more provenance. Thanks for the feedback ☀️ ...
