I am selling my beloved Sinn U1. A watch that has been with me for the past 9 years from new and gone through lots of adventures with me - climbing, swimming in the sea, on the beach, paragliding, skiing, desert, mud...you name it.... including Viper Challenge and Spartan races. The U1 is designed to be virtually impervious to water penetration. The U1 case is made from the same steel that is also used in the construction of the outer hull of submarines. The steel was procured by Sinn from a steel supplier to Emden GmbH, one of Germany’s North Sea shipbuilding yards who construct submarines from the very same steel. This submarine steel is not only extraordinarily sea water resistant (PRE value up to 38), it possesses also the highest anti-magnetic quality. The uni-directional ratchet operated rotating bezel is also milled from this submarine steel. The indices are machined directly into the bezel without the use of bezel inserts, which can corrode or come loose at deep depths. The international testing lab of Germanischen Lloyd has tested the U1, and determined that the watch can be certified as water resistant to 1,000 meters. This same firm tests submarines for their ability to withstand the effects of underwater use. It is truly one tough watch that does not disappoint. Tough + German + Utilitarian. It's tengimented steel is world class as you can see in the side by side comparison between the bracelet and the watch case. This is not a watch winder or box queen. It gets used alot but yet the watch case looks 99% brand new to the naked eye. So why am I selling? I found a replacement which I really want. Unfortunately I don't have the means to keep all of my watches. Something has to go before a new one can come in, plus I would not have the time to wear them all, thus I would rather this watch go to a new owner who would wear it and enjoy it as much as I did. Some pictures below.

This is not your ordinary desk diver. You can take it anywhere, as I have, as you can see from the bracelet.

Some close up macros of the case head. To the naked eye, it looks 99% brand new.
