The movements are Swiss-in fact for the CPCPs Cartier went back to their traditional high-end suppliers: JLC, Piguet, Piaget. But it seems that one model was cased in France when I had no idea about it. I'm guessing few did.
Beautiful shaped!

Next month it will go to the Cartier Mansion for some freshening up. I hope to learn a little more about the model at that time.

These are the initials of the case manufacturer that you can see inside the diamond shaped punch. I sent an email to French customs to find out who was hiding behind this mark, but no answer.

They are actually a large case maker. I think Lange uses this company as well. Thanks!

Do you have their full name ?
Sorry, I was confusing "F.P." with "F.T.".
By: TheMadDruid : November 11th, 2017-15:39
However, "F.P." historicallly meant "Fritz Petitpierre". If I remember correctly (and the history was somewhat confusing) it was a Swiss, or Anglo-Swiss watch parts manufacture.. Cases are included in this. I have no idea whether this firm is still in exi...
A truly sublime piece, Padj!

The CPCP pieces are uniformly beautiful. What a great idea Cartier had back then.
